    Part 1
    1. Download sn0wbreeze from here iH8sn0w.com | Jailbreak your iPod touches and iPhones
    2. Download iOS4 from here iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download
    3. Run sn0wbreeze and create your custom ios4 .ipsw (which will automatically save to your desktop.

Part 2 (i did this because i would go straight to the custom firmware and i kept getting errors with itunes.)
    1. Restore or upgrade your iPhone 3g off of iTunes, no need for the shift method, just do a regular upgrade/restore off of there.
    2. When that is completed, do a shift restore using the custom ios4 on your desktop.
    3. When completed just go to Cydia install ultrasn0w and the cellular data will be available.
    4. Add:
    Cellular Data

    Apn: internet2.voicestream.com
    Username:
    Password:

    Mms

    Apn: epc.tmobile.com
    Username:

    MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

And if that doesnt work try this one

    Cellular Data

    Apn: internet2.voicestream.com
    Username:
    Password:

    Mms

    Apn: wap.voicestream.com
    Username:

    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 1048576
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

    you can also put 9999999
in MMS Max Message Size and it will work. thats how i have it
And that should work. it worked for me

ok ive noticed that for some reason after i did something i can only sent picture texts and cant receive any it just shows the error. but i know both of the above work.
Ok so i seem to have problems with this. but i think i have found a fix cuz right now i sent to myself a couple of texts form PixDrop.com Free Picture Messaging - Send Free Picture Messages From Your Computer To Your Cell Phone and i got them.

Here are the instructions of exactly what I did.

    1. Re-jailbreak with redsn0w 0.9.5 BETA [iPhone Dev Team] (deselect cydia in the part where you select what to do)
    2. Add http://beta.leimobile.com/repo/ to your cydia sources and Install the T-Mobile 4.0 MMS fix, then reboot
    3. Add this to your Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network
    MMS
    APN: epc.tmobile.com
    Username:
    Password:
    MMSC: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 614400
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://wap.sonyericsson.com/UAprof/w800iR101.xml

i have noticed an hour delay idk if it might be due to the place where in testing hardly has any service.
Please thank if this worked for you

^ I tried your Settings and then PixDrop without adding the http://beta.leimobile.com/repo/ and without installing the mms fix and I can receive it. Now let me try to ask a friend MMS it to me.
    Thanks.

Maybe someone has a solution for me.

I have a LEGALLY UNLOCKED iPhone 3GS with the NEW bootrom that I use on T-mobile, when I had 3.1.2 loaded on it I had the problem with receiving MMS, I used one of SpookyET's carrier bundles through iTunes and it worked perfectly, no jailbreaking needed, I just did a Shift/Update loaded the .ipcc into the phone and it worked. I upgraded to iOS4 and now Im having the same problem, can't receive MMS, I tried to load the new carrier bundle that SpookyET gave me, but it doesnt work.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks in advance

Could anyone shed some light on this:

I Have gotten everything to work on 4 3g iphones running on 4.0 except pictures messages to someone not on T-Mobile.

    Here are my steps:

    1. Restore iphone with itunes native method.
    2. Jailbreak with redsn0w_win_0.9.5b5-3 with AT&T Sim card in phone.
    3. Unlock with Ultrasnow in Cydia "at this point my cellular data tab returned"
    4. Turned off 3g, rebooted, and put T-Mobile sim back in. "Phone activates naturally"
    5. Entered settings from page one of this forum in Cellular data settings.

What I have found is that almost everything works with one minor problem. I cannot receive picture messages from someone not on T-Mobile. I can send and receive mms to anyone on T-mobile and I can send to AT&T however if AT&T tries to send to me it says media content not included - picture message size restriction.

    Any thoughts?

    Hope those steps help someone..

Ummm. Not to be rude...but the very first post IS the solution to your problem. Have you tried the actual fix?

Hey sorry about that but no I have not. I guess I thought that putting the settings in manually was kind of the same thing. May be an easy fix then I guess. Trying now! Thanks

Wow, I re-jailbroke with sn0wbreeze and now the original post's instructions works great. MMS send and receive is back. Guess redsn0w was the culprit. Phone feels faster too, all good.

    Hi Guys,

I just got the Legally Factory Unlocked Iphone 4 and will be using it with T mobile in US. Will MMS work and are there any settings available? Will I have to wait for a Jailbreak to make MMS work?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

Anyone else's pic resolution randomly get squished? I'm back to receiving blurry, small pics. Out of nowhere. I've re-run the fix over and over and even fiddled with some of the plist entries. No success.
