You don't need a data plan to go to that address!

wow, i'm actually impressed, this worked perfectly
great job man, keep up the good work!
So just out of curiosity, is it possible to direct the APN to run the phone's data service through this proxy, so that the internet will "reach" all the apps on the phone rather than just safari?
just throwing an idea out there

oh okay, well that makes sense. Do you think it'd be able to use the data i'm getting for tethering?

I'd have to say no again.. But then again, I've never tried it. If it does work, can you please post back?
Also, stay tuned because we will be adding apps that work off the proxy, if you have any requests please post here.
Edit: We will also be creating an app soon to submit to cydia, stay tuned!

I wasn't able to get it to work with tethering, but I do want to mention I found something interesting that I'm hoping someone here can explain- the wifi problem a lot of people have been having after jailbreaking with blackra1n (either immediately or a few weeks/months after) where the native iPhone app withing settings that displays detects wireless networks isn't working properly occurred while I was playing with my apn settings for cellular data. I wasn't able to detect networks through the iPhones native settings app but when I used an alternative 3rd party "stumbler", I was able to find and connect to a network and use it without problems. But when I un-did the apn change and put it back to the original (epc.tmobile.com?) the problem went away.
I found this to be extremely peculiar as I assumed the wireless data settings and wifi settings were completely unrelated. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks in advance

its incredibly useless...
we have iphones, and do more then browse sites thru safari
this "trick", leaves the rest of the phone completely useless unless on wifi. i guess its helpful for anyone who wishes to carry an iphone and skimp out 10 DOLLARS on internet LOL
enjoy, cheapos. you bought iphones, buy yourself some data to enjoy it1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
waitin on my white iphone 4

So I've actually found that gmail doesn't load properly the frame of the webapp loads but not the actual messages - can someone please confirm the problem as a proxy issue or tell me that my phone is being a douche?

How does this work? Doesn't Tmobile block any connection to sites other than their own?
