3.1.3 2g mms
Any such luck with working MMS for any of you 2G 3.1.3 users? I'm working on it myself, but so far cannot receive...

Not to be this guy, but why in the world did you not heed the warnings that said anything from "Don't upgrade to 3.1.3, there's no new features" to "Upgrading to 3.1.3 will preserve tethering but you WILL LOSE MMS." If the upgrade brings no newness it's worthless to do. These are just security fixes aimed at making life harder for all of us who unlock, jailbreak, and mod our phones.

If you'd have taken the time to read my post, you would have noticed that it stated I'm working on MMS for 3.1.3. I can successfully send but I fail to receive. So I also hate being "that guy" who always has to tell members to read before replying.

I did read your post. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt and assuming your working on 3.1.3 is out of benevolence on the one hand. On the other hand it would be my hope that the bolded exclamatory heading at the top of this page, as well as the multiple warnings on the dev-team's blog, plus the thousand some odd tweets that said DON'T, in addition to the news feeds, articles, and firmware reviews, would deter most people from being in need of that benevolence.

No one will have a jailbroken anything unless *someone* is "working on it," so I appreciate all efforts in that vein. People used to think the world was flat, you know. Had everyone heeded the warnings of falling off the edge, well...

I know this is completely OT but I just found the last statement hilarious...because some people still believe the world is flat. I LOL'ed when someone gave me this link.

I have a 2g on 3.1.2 and i have mms set up. I have native mms for the camera icon. i have the correct carrier bundle. my network settings are set just like t-mobile instructed. but i can only send messages. i can even send myself mms and it comes through just fine. however, i cannot receive mms from anyone else. i get the, "The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction" message. Can anyone help me please?

Is MMS possible on 2g running 3.1.3???
Why are people not just doing the shift+restore and using 3.1.2? Apple no longer has to validate 2G software so its as simple as that. Then IF you are still using the older versions of iTunes use blackra1n for the jailbreak. Bootneuter will still unlock for other carriers.
Im kinda lost as to why anyone would waste time looking for an OUT on 3.1.3 when there are no advantages and you can always revert to 3.1.2 and use the native MMS feature in cydia.
cheers!

What version iPhone and what firmware? Also, it seems to me that T-mobile isn't allowing any data without some form of data package on the account. MMS used data to transfer.

Go to cydia and search for "T-mobile US postpaid/flexpaid" and download the first result. Then go to settings - general - reset - reset network settings.

I just upgraded my 2G to the 3.1.3 and when going to Cydia, it says that the MMS app to download is not compatible with the 3.1.3. There is always the Swirly MMS app, but not free and poor resolution. I just put mine into DFU, and went back to the 3.1.2 so that the MMS would work. Only advantage I found to the 3.1.3 is a few of the apps through iTunes require the newer software, but nothing major.
