problem with Edge

Having issues with getting Edge to work on T-Mobile. In Salt Lake City right now, was working until 7 last night, then off for a while, then on, now off again. Anyone else having issues?

Are you on the TZones plan still? I am, and I had the exact same problem in the exact same way. Earlier yesterday evening, no problem, and since then it hasn't connected (though it still shows the edge icon), and Tmo says everything is fine. If they just killed tzones for iphone that pretty much killed any reason for me to HAVE an iphone. If I wanted to bleed money out of all my holes for my phone and data service I could have just gone with att. .__.

oh crap not again. I'm experiencing some issues in Phx, AZ. Weather won't update, nor will mail. safari cannot open web page because it is not connected to the internet is all i get. :/

Hi, Im in Minneapolis Minnesota and my internet stopped working also at 7:13PM last night was the last time my email updated. I also called t-mobile and they said there is no outages.

I am running windows xp I have 3.0 firmware on a origanal Iphone 2G.

I did nothing to my phone at all to make this stop working. Something must have happen on t-mobiles end im thinking.

This has happend once before I updated to 3.0 and got the picture mail working perfect with t-mobile then one day it just stopped working and I did nothing to the phone working fine for weeks then POOF not working anymore?

The web2go unlimited data plan is only $4/month more than T-zones. I'm not sure how outrageous that can possible be.

They "cut" web2go in april of last year for a few days. So they may be doing the same to T-zones users. Give it a couple days before you switch to another plan. What APN's are y'all using?

I am useing the wap.voicestream.com and I have the total internt package. I have never had t-zones. This is the 1st time I have ever had issues with the internet itself using this plan.

my edge stopped working yesterday as well.. tried it today, worked for a few minutes then stopped working again. seems google.com is the only page to load up right now.

NO, not using T-Zones. I have the $19.95 internet and text plan. Using internet2.voicestream.com

These are most likely outages in certain areas of the country (seems predominantly west coast). There doesn't seem to be a specific data plan being affected, and if it was a general blockage complaints would be pouring into this forum

I talked to someone at Tmo and apparently they are auditing accounts and killing tzones connections on iphones, effectively forcing us to upgrade our plans or drop completely. I get different stories from them sometimes about this kind of stuff though, so take this info with a grain of salt.

That said, they totally got me, and now I am paying 20 bucks a month for what seems to be not that much faster a connection. :/

Oh, in case people need to know, I'm on a 4gb 2g running 3.1.2. Yeah, I know.

Edit: Oh yeah, also I am in the Portland area.

Are you paying $20 for the smartphone plan or $20 for the web2go unlimited data + text? If you're with the smartphone plan you're overpaying. Web2go data only should cost $4/month more than what you were paying with T-zones.

I was just on the phone with T-Mobile yesterday about changing my plan (to save some money here and there).

She reviewed my account and tallied my SMS/MMS usage to see if it would be advantageous to switch to 1000 texts.

At any rate, mention of my data plan or T-Zones or my iPhone ever came up.
