T-Mobile sidekick NTK.

Hello, I am new here.. and cannot find a definite answer or definite explanation on the T-Mobile sidekick plan;
Here's the scoop:

I have an iPhone 2g 16GB Running 3.1.2.
I have the T-Mobile Sidekick Unlimited plan, which I know isn't supposed to work for iphone.. but I want to know if anyone has any clue or any method as to how to make it work. I know they are out there, as some people have mentioned, but what do they block?
For some reason, Skype and Email work anywhere via the edge, but everything else requires WiFi. If anyone has any clue how to do this, please respond to me asap. It is really ticking me off, my days are slowly passing by where I am only allowed to use skype.. and I want to know what exactly they block, and if there is any way to circumvent it.
My theory, is that they block certain ports.. but I am not sure, honestly.

If someone could help me out, maybe I can return the favor via some PayPal cash or something :P

I was in the same boat as you till I found this site.

This guy has a free proxy that you can use but there are some weird things that happen because of using a proxy in another country. He has a paid one that is based in the US and it works great! It's only a dollar a month and it's more than worth being able to get data back again. I have personally talked to the guy via email and he seems very helpful and honest. I haven't had an question not answered. The only app I have found that doesn't work with it is Soundhound and you can't use Gmail via an exchange account. The regular gmail works fine just not setting it up as an exchange account. On his site he explains what T-Mobile and their servers are doing to block our access to the internet. Let me know if you have more questions.

Thanks so much man, it appears to be working.. at least the internet browser anyways, nothing else is working yet but i plan to get it working hopefully soon.. i may try out a month of his subscription, what is there to lose?

If you read his page he shows that a lot of the stuff doesn't work with the free ones but they do with the paid one. Not his fault, just the nature of the beast. I'm glad I could help. Even with a dollar a month and a dollar a day for the Sidekick plan it's still the cheapest plan out there.
