Default Enable MMS on 2G iphone on T-mobile

After many trials and tribulations I finally have full MMS on my 2G iphone on t-mobile. I want to post what worked for me so maybe i can save someone else some time and a whole lot of aggravation. First I added the ifoneguide repo to cydia (cydia.ifoneguide.nl) and downloaded nativemmsiphone2G and rebooted. This gave me the extra mms options in settings and the camera on my texts. After searching for the correct APNs and MMS settings i found i could send pics but not recieve them. After trying every possible combination unsuccesfully i finally went back to cydia. I downloaded a t-mobile carrier support pack (search cydia for "legacy" and choose the first one "t-mobile US-postpaid") and it populated the correct settings into the MMS fields. Then i rebooted the phone and that was it. I can now send and recieve picture messages. The pictures are decent quality and are not blurry.
Here are the settings I have for MMS. These are located at settings>general>network>cellular data network :
    Cellular Data APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username-blank
    Password- blank
    MMS APN: wap.voicestream.com
    Username- blank
    password- blank
    MMSC: 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
    MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
    MMS Max Message Size: 9999999
    MMS UA Prof URL: http://www.apple.com/mms/uaprof.rdf

    I hope this helps

    What firmware are you on?

I bricked my phone 2 times in a row with ActivateMMS2G, so I am cautious when people say they found a way on the 2G.

Also, how is battery life so far?

I'm on 3.1. Activatemms2g DOES NOT WORK. I bricked/got stuck in restore/had to re-jailbreak a few times before i ended up with this method. I've used it on my phone and a friends 2G with no problems so far. I haven't noticed any effect on battery life

    Okay.

Got it going on my 2G. For some reason I had to reset my network settings, then put them back in. Oh well. FINALLY!

Wanted to follow up and say as a warning, my battery life is not so great now. No push enabled, and I barely use Wifi.

I have push notifications off and my battery life is much better with this new hack:

Enable iPhone 2G Bluetooth, MMS, and Tethering

Use in conjunction with the T-Mobile USA carrier bundles from Cydia.

You can try these two links, but be warned that there is no guarantee that T-mobile will never catch on to you and start charging per Kb...

    Free Tmobile internet
    Free edge using internet2.voicestream.com

I have a2g on 3.1.2 and i have mms set up. I have native mms for the camera icon. i have the correct carrier bundle. my settings are set just like the ones at the top of this page. but i can only send messages. i can even send myself mms and it comes through just fine.however, i cannot receive mms from anyone else. i get the, "The media content was not included due to a picture resolution or message size restriction" message. Can anyone help me please?
