I can't MASS TEXT?
I can't mass text anymore, whenever I try the status bar just goes really fast as if it's sending something, but the recipients never get my message.
My current settings:
Cellular Data APN - internet2.voicestream.com
MMS APN - wap.voicestream.com
MMSC - 216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy - 216.155.165.50
MMS Max Message Size - 614400
Are all these settings necessary? Perhaps that may be the problem?
Thanks in advance.

Texting has nothing to do with those settings. Those settings are for MMS and web. Unless you're referring to MMS for multiple recipients.
Sorry I couldn't be more help I'm not sure what you mean of what's going on. I just know those settings won't be affecting texting unless its MMS.

Shame on you guys! Texting during mass. I'm surprised the priest doesn't come off the altar and take your iPhones away! J/K

Anyways, what firmware are you guys running, because that might be the reason. Just to go on record here, I dont know that for a fact.
How many people are trying to text at once?

If you're using 3.0 and 3.0.2, those firmwares have bugs related to mass messaging, so it's best to update to 3.1.x as is.
It might be a good idea to temporarily turn off MMS messaging if you trying to send a mass text (not pic/video/audio) message. That'd force the phone to use only the SMS service.
It's your mass pic/video/audio messaging is failing, then make sure your MMS settings are correct and attempt to send to fewer people at one time. If all else fails, there's 'manual mass messaging' by doing copy-paste and sending a message to each person individually.Member of the hackint0sh forums.

manual mass texting? aka copy and paste every freakin contact, and have your messages app flooded with the same message a 100 times lol.
But I sent out a mass text last night to about 60 people, it seemed to have worked fine . I'm on 3.1.2 w/ultrasn0w too so maybe that has something to do with it.The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
