Help with internet

I have been having trouble with the edge internet on my phone. I have tried the epc, wap, internet2 and internet3 settings in the apn. Before I got the unlimited everything package I had added the unlimited internet al la carte and was able to get internet with wap only on tmobile towers. Now with the new package I can only get internet with epc while roaming on another services tower, otherwise it sends me to web2go. I'm running 3.1.2(7D11) 3g off and data roaming on and have rebooted after each change. Any help will be appreciated in advance. Thank you.

Same here I just switched to the unlimited everything plan with TMO and now I have to use WAP.voicestream instead of the Internet2. Its extremely slow like crawling slow, none of the other APN's would work and I would like a better solution since I use my Iphone to tether while I am out on the road during business hours. Can anyone please help?

Who told you to use wap? It's internet2.voicestream.com

Reset your network settings (settings, reset, reset network settings) and reboot. Then enter internet2.voicestream.com

Was the issue resolved? I've had this problem too and it's still buggy.

I have reset the settings and rebooted and changed to internet2 and my phone tells me that it could not activate cellular data network. I am at a total loss here. I tried my sim in another phone from tmo and it works just fine so it has to be my i.

try going to help.benm.at from safari on your phone and scroll down to "create mobileconfig," enter internet2 as APN and enable tethering.

still the same. I was looking at my tmo account and it shows that I have the unlimited everything and also an extra unlimited internet. Could that have anything to do with it. Also I had my old rizr as my phone on my account and changed it to a blckbrry to see if it was that and still the same. Thanks for all the helpful info.

When you refer to unlimited everything, do you refer to one of the even more plans with voice, text and data? You might want to call T-mobile from your RIZR and talk to them, you might be paying double. Do you have a Cydia carrier bundle installed?

I am referring to the even more t+t+w. I also have a charge for unlimited family web and unlimited family text for a extra total of $60. I always talk to tmo on a land line and never from my cell due to the rizr was only used for about two weeks and then I used a blkbrry and now my i. Also I do have cydia but what is the carrier bundle? Thanks again.

Search for t-mobile carrier bundle in Cydia. Choose the right one for your plan and that may help.

Still no go. I think that I'm going to restore my phone and re-jailbreak it and start over.

That should help. You can also talk to Tier 3 (tech support) on T-mobile. Those guys don't care that you have an iPhone on a $10 plan - they're the ones that taught me how to enter APN's and such over a year ago.

I too have run into this problem. My T-Zones 5.99 plan was working fine until a few days ago, when the iPhone browser started to redirect me to the web2go site. I've tried changing my APN to several different networks but to no avail.

Hmm the T-zones people have experienced this a lot more than the web2go people. It seems that they are catching on more to you. I'd give it a few days...

i have an original iPhone with 3.1 version (firmware 0.4.05.04_G). I have been using EDGE $5.99 for more than a year. Suddently, my phone gave me a no connection since yesterday after the battery ran out. I have tried to set APN to epic.tmobile.com, internet.voicestream.com, internet2.voicestream.com, wap.voicestream.com but it still doesn't work. One problem is I CAN'T shut off my iPhone, the button(s) will not work. What can I do to reset the phone? Or what are other options to set the APN? Thank you

You can download SBSettings from Cydia - it lets you reboot and respring through buttons after you slide through the top bar. Try re-setting your network settings, turn data roaming on.

If your on the EM+ tell T-Mo you want your data on the BB unlimited plan. Then use the epc APN. It works for me no problems.

No voice?? Wait, are you on a voice plan? Data should not be related to voice, your phone function should work.
