Default In search of the Works for 3G iPhone 3.1.2

Hey guys, my aunt just gave me her 3G iPhone and I jailbroke it and unlocked it yesterday using Blackra1n and Blacksn0w, the question I'm having is the correct configurations to enable MMS & 3G, and also what to use to surf the web?

I'm replacing my G1 with this iPhone and have the data plan for G1 (not sure what data plan or whatever that is but I have the G1 bundle)

as far as internet goes, I used wap.voicestream.com and that seems to get me to the E connection, allowing me to get on cydia and what not, but does it ever go to 3G (Like the G1 does?) So what's the setting I should have typed to allow my internet to work, and does the E ever change to 3G?

and for MMS, I have no idea where to even begin, I have just unlocked/jailbroke the phone and have not done much to it, so how do I get my MMS working again? My girlfriend said she sent me an MMS and I don't see it, it's as if those MMS messages just disappeared or something because it doesn't even have the message saying I can't receive it... So what do I do and how do I get this MMS thing working and showing up?

and thirdly, what browser am I supposed to be using? I don't see safari.

-I know these questions have been continually posted, but does anyone have a working, solid solution for all of them? seeing as every solution seems to be different from different posters
-please excuse my total failure when it comes to the iPhone as I have no prior knowledge to any of this! thanks!

Read the posts, try things, then post specific problems. As far as 3g goes, it has been made very clear in every post concerning 3g speed that it is not available on the iphone due to the use of different 3g frequency use on the tmobile network. If you would actually read about the questions you have, you would get your answers very quickly.
