Default Losing Signal While in Sleep Mode

Hey everybody, about a month ago i upgraded my iphone 3g from firmware 3.0 to version 3.1.2 via pwnage tool and ultrasn0w to unlock for tmobile. i then enabled MMS with the tmobile prepay/flexpay carrier bundle in Cydia. Everything worked PERFECTLY....for a while. Then, cydia told me there was an update for the tmobile carrier bundle so i downloaded it and installed it. everything seemed to be working properly for a while but then i noticed that some texts weren't coming through and prople were saying that they called me and yet i would show no record of a missed call and the phone would not ring. Then i figured out that when the phone was in sleep mode (from letting it idle for a few minutes or from pushing the power button) it was not receiving calls or tests. If the phone was 'awake' it would work perfectly though. I decided to re-jailbreak/reinstall my firmware with pwnage too....I had the same result. No calls or texts. Then I attempted to re-jailbreak and unlock with blacksn0w/blackra1n. I figured that a fresh install of the OS with an un-pwnd firmware bundle might do the trick or maybe the baseband update would do something...unfortunately it has not. Does anyone have any ideas??

To sum it all up: I've got an iPhone 3g running 3.1.2 unlocked and jailbroken for tmobile with blackra1n and blacksn0w. Sends texts and calls ok (as far as i know) but when the phone is in sleep mode i get NOTHING. when people call it stays silent on their end of the line (they say it doesnt even ring but is silent for 20-30 seconds and) and goes straight to voicemail. texts often do come through but it might be hours after they were sent. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!! Thanks!

I would pop in an AT&T sim card and try to replicate the problem on totally stock firmware. Then get a replacement from Apple if you infact can.

    Lovely

    Not

Just to update everyone, I've gone back and used an entirely different computer and downloaded a new copy of the 3.1.2 OS and done a reinstall and cleared all my system settings and so far everything is working (it's been a day) i'll post back if everything continues to work.
My best guess fight now is that something was corrupt/changed in the copy of 3.1.2 that acquired or that there was something in my computer/itunes that caused it to malfunction....that would explain why reinstalling the OS from a different system seems to help.
