iPhone 3GS 3.0 software

Hi I have an unlocked iPhone running I have unlocked with Ultra Snow. I have a couple problems with it. First it doesn't get as good as coverage as my old T-Mobile phone. Are thier any settings I can change so it picks up T-mobile coverage better? Also is their any new update on getting 3G? I have tuned out of the iPhone updates???

Unfortunately us T-Mo users will never get 3G speed on our unlocked phones.
As far as you signal problems, not certain what that could be, bottom line I guess is you could restore and re-jailbreak/unlock and see if it improved for you.

Its not that big of a difference I have just noticed that in places where service is very low the iPhones cuts out more often then my old phone. Is there a phone that stands out for exeptional reception on T-Mobile that I could possibly use as a secoundairy phone?

Not sure, been using iPhones for a couple years so I'm really out of the loop. Perhaps someone else will have your answer.
