Will the I-Phone be able to use T-Mobile's new "HSPA 7.2Mbps 3G"
Will the I-Phone (3G or 3GS) be able to use T-Mobile's new "HSPA 7.2Mbps 3G" or will T-Mobile I-Phone users still be stuck with edge? -Thank you

Still no... T-Mobile works on a diff radio frequency than AT&T does. It's a shame they can't roam on each other's 3G network.

That is really to bad. Thank you for clearing that up for me. It kinda makes be want to make a device that plugs in to the iphone that would pick up t-mobile's 3g signal.

Who wouldn't? I mean...we have superior phones with awesome capabilities. We pay for data that includes 3g but is not accessible because of a hardware issue. Is there a hardware mod out there to anyone's knowledge? I'd crack it open for that!

No - it's been under discussion since T-mo got 3G over a year ago. When you do something like that, you're getting into the FCC's territory and crossing some pretty gray line. But if you're interested, no one's been able to modify the phone to this capability. You'll probably have more luck waiting until AT&T's contract expires.

Isn't Tmobile USA on of the only carriers in the world that uses the 1700Mhz frequency?
NEVER pay to have your iPhone unlocked or jailbroken, It's a complete rip off.

It ain't gonna happen - T-mo has been around the iPhone for years now. Trust me you're not the first one to think of it. It's like asking your FM radio to pick up Police radio. They have different frequencies. Hopefully the AT&T contract is broken and Apple releases a phone compatible with T-mo 3G. But for now, just give it up.
