Cheapest way to get iPhone on T-Mobile (Prepaid)
I am interested in the cheapest method to get my iPhone 3G onto T-Mobile with a prepaid plan. I am only interested data, but if it is somehow cheaper to get voice + data I would be willing to try that.
I would really like to prepay this, but may consider the Flexpay option.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The cheapest way would be to get Even More Plus with 500 minutes and $10 other phones data.

So bottom line I am looking at $29.99 + $10.00 + taxes?
Is there anyway to get data on a pay-as-you go plan? Unsupported Browser

What about a different service (AT&T, Cincy Bell, etc) Has anyone found a way to get cheap data?

Sell your iphone and buy something cheap and crappy off ebay, at least that way you'll be able to run it properly

TMobile is probably the cheapest.
Data Only Plans
You're lookin at $30-$40 a month for data only. Might as well use it as a phone too and get the even more plus.

So if I were to go with this plan: Unsupported Browser
I could have unlimited data? I plan on using my Skype account for the occasional phone call, but really want to use this for email, internet, and tethering.

Yes, unlimited data. But be aware that you'll get nothing faster than edge in T-mobile - using skype may require you to have faster cellular data (I'm not very familiar with what it demands, but you may want to test it out first). The speed really depends on your signal strength, so you may get lucky with full bars. For example, I can listen to Pandora skip-free with full bars, but around 3 or less it skips every once in a while. The same may happen with Skype.

Of course you know that you can't get a data only plan without a one year commitment right? How misleading of you.

Incase you missed it - he linked to total internet
Total internet = 1 year commitment

LOL i did check the link. His question was "I could have unlimited data? I plan on using my Skype account for the occasional phone call, but really want to use this for email, internet, and tethering."
The answer is YES. I don't care about the 1 year commitment because that wasn't the question which I responded to. LOL your bubble metaphor makes me laugh. If I helped you out, please use the Thanks button ------------------------->

Take your arguing elsewhere. Good job you answered his question what are you still doing here? So basically a good recommendation, just get a data plan on flexpay with voice. The free voip calls and whatnot aren't worth it compared to just paying for phone calls cuz most likely if you're not on AT&T that stuff will lag since you get no 3G. Data onlynplans are probably only good for web surfing and emailing.

I wasn't the one that interfered with:
"Of course you know that you can't get a data only plan without a one year commitment right? How misleading of you. "
Please answer your own question to who interfered first. I answered the guy's direct question and that's it. I don't know why you keep coming to the rescue. It's done. Let's get over it.If I helped you out, please use the Thanks button ------------------------->

Do I get it? I do. Do I understand what you just said? Of course not. But I'll imply you're talking about this:
"Take your arguing elsewhere. Good job you answered his question what are you still doing here?"
which was directed at me. "Why are you still here?" he asks. Well I was here answering someone's question when you come and point out that it requires a 1 year agreement. Congratulations, but how is it relative to a question about unlimited data?
This is just going to keep going back and forth. So I guess you don't want to get over it. Please do.If I helped you out, please use the Thanks button ------------------------->

LMAO. No comment.
When in doubt, pull out the doubt card. Good choice. Sure, "I don't get it." Is this enough to end this useless discussion? The guy got his answer, you interfered with a completely irrelevant topic, and it all ended up with a picture of Judge Judy. LOL ok. Case closed.Last edited by adp; 11-16-2009 at 10:23 AM.
