Do i need second data plan on t-mobile to add iphone to BB plan
I already have a Blackberry unlimited data plan on t-mobile. I use Verizon for voice. If I buy a first gen iphone and get it unlocked and jailbroken, do I have to purchase a second data plan from t-mobile? In order to avoid a contract, it would be voice plus data, another $60.00 or so. I only have one sim card, in my BB. I want iphone for t-mobile, but hate to spend for two plans. Any advice on how to avoid two plans (two numbers) and still use iphone and BB?

If I understand this correctly,
You have BB @ T-Mobile and want to put an iPhone on the same exact line correct?
Nope not possible.

You can switch from a BB to iPhone using the same BB data plan on your account and the iPhone will work perfectly fine. I do this

Thanks for replying! In other words you just move your sims card between BB and iphone without needing to reconfigure? I do not want to give up BB because so much easier to type on (have nails)! And you can then use both? (not at same time! lol!)
Thanks for reply. But what about switching bacdk an forth? Have heard sims cards are sold on ebay, but don't know if this is true or myth.Last edited by investigator72; 11-11-2009 at 06:43 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

you would switch the sim back and forth (i do this now on t-mobile and my blackberry and iphone) the only irritation is that sometimes i have to re-enter the APN information on the iphone. but it works fine going back and forth.
i would point out this is actually not that practical going back and forth all the time.

Switching should be no problem, just annoying as mentioned above and before.
