So you'll be a noob and listen to the one person who said hey there's a $25 plan while 2 other people said there's a $10 plan. I don't think so. Somebody can throw in a suggestion that hey maybe if you can afford it try this if not there is a $10 plan which is what she said. She didn't say there's not other plan for iPhone except the $25 one. There are plenty of other people here saying "I have web2go" I pay $19.99 for the text+web bundle blah blah all indicating they pay $10 for web. So if you were noob why would you listen to 1 person throwing out a suggestion over 2 other people saying something else cheaper?

Because, like I said before, it's not just here - it's on many other threads. I'd do a search but I'm a little busy right now. And I'm all for giving suggestions, but don't tell me you have constant problems of outages on this plan. Don't generalize because a few iPhone users had local outages. That's my point here. And I'm all for saving people some money - so I'd suggest they try the $10 plan and if they don't like it, they can switch the the one that's $15 more. They'll get 3kbits more - hooray.

I'm sorry but 1 person in THIS thread gave a suggestion and this thread is not the "so many other threads" you're talking about. You came in here angry as if this is the thread that started it all. Anyway, Im sorry you got offended and all but I think this is the end of this discussion here. I think the poster got his answer.

I'm by no means offended. Just trying to get people their money's worth and not overpay. I wasn't angry, BTW on my first post. It's called sarcasm. I agree, however, this discussion is over. If you want to overpay, by all means go ahead. But for the future, please stop generalizing that the web2go has constant outages and that T-mobile constantly kicks people out. That's t-zones.

adp, I really feel you do have a point here, because to a complete beginner this whole process is complicated enough without throwing in that you could substitute a $10 plan with a $25 plan that gets you comparable speeds. I'm still confused why the $25 plan is even being brought up. Is it only because some folks believe it has something to do with reliability of service or am I missing something bigger here? So far I haven't had any issues with service on the $10 plan other than the fact that T-Mobile reception is pretty cruddy in my area anyways, and I don't think paying $15 more is going to make that any better.

As far as speed it's not going to make any noticeable difference. But I'm glad the $10 plan is also working out for you. I've had it for over a year and I can agree with you on that. The day that T-mobile forces me to pay $25 or $30 for a data plan will be the day they lose many customers (including many loyal customers, 6 years here). But for now, I'm happy with the $10 plan.

I appreciate the candid discussion but can you please not hijack my thread to argue with each other..I understand each of your points and appreciate the candor in each standing your ground. Unfortunately I still can't save my mms setting and iphone repo in cydia is giving me a missing key error.
i'm getting this message when I try to install.
iphone netdb open nodename nor servname iphone repo
I'm also not trying to ssh my phone, not very experienced on that end and will not risk it..is there an alternative to sinful so I can get my mms settings to stick?Last edited by iphoneblueprint; 11-16-2009 at 02:58 PM.

Did you follow my instructions and use that method? And you're getting an error when you try to install which? The repo or the actual MMS and Tethering fix?

Annie, I installed it, reset it updated the settings with the ones recommend..went back in after reboot and all it saved was the network setting..nothing else. Data has the servlet information max size and all that but the wap.voicestream.com setting does not stick.

Yeah I know how that is happened to me before. Oddly enough I just removed everything in cellular data uninstalled the mms and tethering rebooted, reset again, rebooted, then installed the settings again reset, entered my apn's then reboot again and it stuck. But that was just me. I'm thinking sometimes things just wot work and a restore is necessary.
