epc.tmobile.com stopped working?

This thread rocks! I too thought I had been caught. Changing my APN to internet2 as me back online.

Now if I could only get MMS working on my 2G 3.1.2.

Mufakka check out my small tutorial above your post [POST #19 | OR CLICK HERE], see if that gets your MMS on the road.

Yeah, I've tried that one. Got it all loaded but still no luck. My MMS APN won't stick. Tried entering it time and time but everytime I go back, it's blank. WTF.

Hmm, I had the problem where it was going blank this morning but I reinstalled it from Cydia but this time I rebooted then I reset the settings then I rebooted again; then I proceeded to enter new settings and since then everything works.


EDIT: Maybe it's the 3.1.2

I also have a problem sending mass texts. Sometimes I can send the same text to (2) people but I can never send one to (3) or more.

Ooo Sorry can't help you there as I don't usually send multiple texts.

the phone won't keep an apn stored if it's different than the data apn. If you read the original post of this thread, I linked to another site. Follow what it says on there from going to the co.nz website on your phone and on. That allowed me to have a different mms apn than the data apn.

Yes, I followed Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone and thats how I can set a different APN for data and MMS.

So I reloaded and then clicked the reset settings button in my network settings. I assumed all my settings would go blank. No. They have all the settings above. And my MMS APPEARS to have been sent (although I haven't received it on the phone I sent it to).

Try this now:

1] Go to:

Unlockit - APN Changer for your iPhone

on your iphone.
2] Tap Continue.
3] Tap "Custom APN"
4] In the Carrier dropdown menu choose the 1st 'US T-Mobile' option.
5] Then it will automatically put in 'internet2.voicestream.com'.
6] Now it 'Create Profile'.

Unlockit did it! I had to reboot to get it to take effect but now my internet AND MMS are working! Woot!

Does anyone know how to get mms to show up as a picture and not a web link for t-mobile?

I am running 3.0.1 on a 3g 8gb iphone. I have the settings as internet2.voicestream.com for the APN and for the MMS I have wap.voicestream.com.

that's better asked somewhere else. please stick to the thread topic so others, in the future may find the correct help when they search. I'd try searching through MMS forums here though, I know it's out there.

@ Angrydog sorry I didn't get back here sooner. It looks like it's all fixed anyway. I'm pretty sure I did a combination of what you did to be able to set my Data APN and MMS APN separately. I know I ended up tweaking the configuration file for T-Mobile to allow for APN editing. I'm glad everything's working... except epc.tmobile.com.

Thanks for the unlock guide... I updated my plan with Tmobile last week, so now I'm on the "Even More" with unlimited text + data. My plan cycle started today and the internet had went out while I was using epc.tmobile.com. I previously had the Tzones but needed to upgrade in minutes and texts. Followed the guide and I'm back up.

BTW,
I have a 2G FW 3.0 iphone.
Right now Im using internet2.voicestream.com as my Data APN and epc.tmobile.com as my MMS APN.

Not sure how its working without wap.voicestream.com as the APN setting but it does! I can now send/receive MMS and surf the web with no problems.

when I switched over to t mobile I had the 79.99 plan. When I popped in my sim into my iPhone 2G It said upgrade message. So I called up t mobile, the guy I spoke with was very cool and very helpful, Unlike sprint thank god I gave them the boot. I hated getting transfered. But I was talking to the guy and im like I know u dont officially support the iPhone so he just had too make some changes too the account, waited like 15min, restarted the iPhone and I was up n running with t mobile unlimited everything plan so maybe you can call them and tell them your using an iphone and they will set it up

ok quick question about epc i have been using it for about a year now and everything is fine except for facebook which takes like an hour to load but when i load it in safari it is really fast anyone else notice this? also regarding mms if i use the one from sinful it works great but the battery drains extremely fast. anyone fix this issue with another way to get mms without battery drain?
