Iphone with 1000 Talk/Text

With the Iphone, Isnt it smarter to get the 49.99 Talk/Text with 1000 minutes and add a 10 data plan than to go w/the 1000 Talk/Text/Data for 69.99? Is there a difference here? Thank you in advance!

I dont need the "smartphone" data plan because the iphone does not support it, correct?

Also, Has anybody successfully modded the iphone with the new 10 dollar data plans that tmobile has to offer?

Well yes it does, you can try the cheaper web and see if it works. The cheaper web is like the 9.99 web2go for other phones.
