This board is filled with moral dilemma!! What about the owner?? If I lost my 3gs I'd be calling EVERYWHERE and EVERYONE to see if they've found it. He did say if someone claimed it he would return it so I can't really see the harm in that. And if someone at a nightclub was so blasted out of their mind they can't even deduce the logic the day after to call the nightclub and ask about a lost iPhone- they've probably already moved on or are too stupid to deserve their iPhone back. Honestly, this is just me, if I found an iPhone I would try to call a few numbers and then hold onto it for maybe a week. If the attempt to contact the owner was bunk I'd pawn/keep it too, what else do I do? Donate it to good will? All my friends tell me I'm one of the most considerate people they've met and I would go to lengths to do the "right" thing, but finding lost property really only has few options without some sort of identifier or contact info.
That was my two cents on morality in this iPhone debacle. But FRANK, I gotta' tell ya', I've heard all over message boards that no unlock will be posted for the current (unlockable) basebad. With the new bootloaders and all the firmware updates I believe the DevTeam released a statement saying they would only unlocked every other baseband. I would suggest getting it fixed and try trading someone or selling and put that towards buying one that's unlocked. It's all your preference on what you do but point is, I don't think an unlocked is being worked on for the current 5.11.xx baseband....
