T-Mobile carrier name missing on iphone 3.1

does anyone know how to fix this issue with no carrier on my iPhone?

that what the pwngetool 3.1 does.... DL fakecarrier from Cydia and set the carrier name to TMOBILE just like that and the carrier will pop up

That does work - you can use MM

But I would like to see what carrier I am actually on - for roaming, etc...

I did this and it worked

but I wanted it to show what carrier it is using... so I can see when I am roaming

Works! woohoo. Great find. I got my carrier logo now without worrying about installing anything to fix it.

I still have the original problem... I can get T-Mobile to show up but it wont auto change when I go to another network...

I could be wrong, but I don't think it shows a different carrier when you are roaming. I thought it just showed a roaming icon. I don't know 100% because I never go outside of the service area.
