What about 3g upgraded to 3.1 by iTunes....
Can we unlock,downgrade or jailbreak with Windows PC?
I tried but so far no luck..

try to downgrade then run redsn0w on 3.0 there are lots of tuts on this forum...just use the search feature it will make your life SO much easier here..

Yes I did but when I run redsn0w and it hangs after wait for reboot.
Believe me I spend about 4-5 hrs last night searching and trying to reflash it back to 3.0 but if still hangs in redsn0w "wait for reboot". Thanx.

try unpluging it then pluging it back in or try a manual reboot??

Yes I tried that too but it doesn't do anything else either. I think I need a MAC.

I JUST GOT my mac back and boy did I miss her. Now looking upgrade the ram to 4 gigs and the biggest hdd I can stuff in her.

nope cant be done, when upgraded to 3.1 by itunes the frimware updated the baseband where untrasnow will not be compatible with, i think its the 5.11.07. fuzzyband wont work either to downgrade the baseband. all you have now is an expensive iPod Touch. sorry

OP is trying to downgrade firmware not baseband. No talk of ultrasn0w or unlock but redsn0w and jailbreak. And that CAN be done

.....yes there is mention of an unlock, and this is in the T-Mob section.
What about 3g upgraded to 3.1 by iTunes....

You can downgrade and jailbreak but you can't unlock yet...

Sorry i took so long to check this... been super busy this weekend...
And yeah, like everyone has already said...
If you upgraded to 3.1m by itunes, you are SOL for the time being. (unless of course you are one of the lucky few with the 5.8 baseband, to check jailbreak then download fuzzyband) The chances of your phone being on 5.8 is very slim, so don't even count on it.
It seems the unlock crews are working on a solid 3.1 unlock, and now that 3.1.2 is here, we maybe closer to a real 5.11.07 unlock solution. It could be days, weeks, but it also could be months.
If i were you, i'd try to find a friend thats on AT&T,hasn't updated, and doesn't mind being locked for a few months
P.S. when redsn0w hangs "waiting for reboot" just unplug from the phone for a second, then plug it back in, the phone should reboot and it will continue the jailbreak...The only thing I ask in return for helping, is that you click the thanks button, Thanks!
