get 3g with EDGE SIM?

hey, I've jailbroken two iphones so far, both 2g, one with a cingular prepaid on 1.1.1 and with an AT&T non-iphone plan on 3.1. My question is

1)will a 3gS work with my t-mobile SIM that's in my sidekick 08?

2)will my internet work? (b/c I have EDGE on the 08, and iphones 3g obvs)

3)Can I get 3g capabilities even though im currently using the EDGE?

4) if I can't, how can I get 3g with my t-mobile SIM?

You cant get 3G service on an iphone with Tmobile. At all. Only Edge.

No, in the sidekick LX 09 they support and have 3g, also t-moblie recently released a touch-screen phone with 3g
