Question about unlocking iphone 3g with tmobile
when i run redsnow to jailbreak and then ultrasnow to unlock do i need to pace the tmobile sim in there through the whole jailbreak/unlock process?

I always leave the SIM card in. Works fine.

and also i can unlock with redsnow 3.0.1 without the phone getting locked?

No, you jailbreak with redsn0w and unlock it by adding the repo666.ultrasn0w.com source in Cydia

na i meant should i jailbreak with 3.0 or 3.0.1 i dont want the baseband to upate then i cant unlock it

sounds good i thanked you for your help...im going off the iclarified instructions and i dont see anything about placing it in recovery mode but dont i need to do that so i can get the restore option up in itunes?

Turns out this is a friends phone he is jailbreaking (asked in a PM) so good to go.

ok so got it all down now i need he correct settings for the internet and the mms i have seen a ton of different ones out there but can someone point me or tel me the correct and best ones

On the silver header above on any page you will see a 'Guides" tab, mouse over that and you will see APN settings.
