Default Question about tmobile flex pay on iPhone 3g

Ok so I'm supose to go buy the tmobile sim card Today. Which one do I get in the retail store? Just ask for prepaid sim? Do I tell them it's for iPhone? Will I have problems with data ( due to side kick issue)

Should I buy just the sim card?? Which sim to get inorder to get flexpay?? Or do I need a tmobile phone with the imei or can I use my iPhone imei???

Don't say anything about the phone. Just buy the sim and the plan. tell them you have a phone already. That's what I did.

So I bought the prepaid sim then I lost it lol...gonna buy another one today. She told me to switch to flexpay I had to call and that they would need the imei to set up the phone. Does this mean that I can give then my iPhone imei or do I have to buy a prepaid tmobile phone that comes with a sim card

You don't have to call at all. You can put the sim in your phone, and the first time you dial, all setup will be done. I am NOT a fan of having to give anyone my IMEI as I feel like flexpay negates the obligation. If I wanted a buy a phone and submit to a 2 year contract, I'd have done that. THIS price I pay without a "free phone". I wish more T-Mobile reps would understand that.

Just go into a store and tell them you want to open a flexpay account. tell them you already have a compatible phone to use and that should be all there is to it. They'll setup the account, give you a sim card and then you pay. You can add internet and a texting bundle through your My T-Mobile account within a few hours of opening the account if you don't do it in the store.

I think they just want the IMEI so their system can give the "proper" data and messaging plans.

Just go into a T-Mobile store, and buy a flexpay plan with sim card. It's really that simple.

    Hello,

    Total noob here..

I have a couple of questions about the iPhone and Tmobile's flexpay.
First, how do I get Flexpay?
I read the posts above and it seems like I just walk in store and tell the people that I want a Flexpay account, then I just tell them what plan I want. Right? Then I walk home with a simcard and I put that in my iPhone and wallah! It should work? (Sounds stupid but yeah?)

Second, some have mentioned the 19.99 web+text, but I can't find that on the flexpay website. They do offer the "Even More Plus 500 Talk + Text with FlexPay". That has text and talk. Would that work for an iPhone 3G?

Third, the data plan. It's $10 extra. Does this work on the iPhone? I have heard that since the sidekick plans went down, this might not work.

Anyway, I'm sorry for all of this but I'm still on ATT and I want to switch over to Tmobile without a contract. I need Unltd web and text and the least amount of talk time possible (I don't really talk). If you know a way to get all features on tmo prepaid please let me know. I will appreciate it!

Yes.. just ask them for a Flexpay Even More Plus account.

That old 19.99 plan was under older T-Mobile rate structure. You want 500 Talk Text and Web for 59.99.

    Lovely
