3.01 upgrade dosent send e mail

iphone froze up had to restore but itunes made me upgrade to 3.01 unlocked and jailbroke just fine but e mail wont send from pop accounts after talking to go daddy they said its a software issue from apple........ just puttint it out there any help?
i was told turn airplane mode on then off 10 times and it might work? dident for me thanks.....

No problems here sending pop3/smtp mail using 3.0.1.
