Resolution/Blurry MMS Fix for T-mobile users 3.0

Ok i did not make this following video but it is awesome and it totaly works. First you have to Jailbreak your phone (duh)and download the following from CYDIA (the video will tell you also) ActivateMMS2, I have APN EDIT downloaded it runs in the background dont know if you need it for this video but i have it and my MMS works and its not blurry in fullscreen!

For MAC users its a bit different follow the guide below for the TERMINAL COMMAND But for windows users this video shows you how to enable ipcc editing in DOS. Hope this helps let me know if it did! Cheers

Enable ipcc on iTunes 8.2 - Mac only
On a Mac just start Terminal (Applications > Utilities) and type

defaults write com.apple.iTunes carrier-testing -bool TRUE

ipcc support will be enabled

I searched and searched and then i finaly came across this video so i hope this helps everyone out if it does please let me know and other people know cuz i know this is a big issue with the 2g iphones. Enjoy!

Do not install activatemms2g on a 3g or 3gs you will mess ur phone up to where it won't boot and you will have to restore trust me I did it. Then when trying to restore iTunes did not recognize my iPhone just save urself the headache and don't do it. Good luck!! I am enjoying my high res full screen pics through mms now!

If anyone has gotten this to work on Windows XP, I need your help. If you could guide me through step by step on what the commands should be like. I tried following the instructions on the YouTube comment on how to do it on Windows XP but it didn't work.

Works for me. Pics look much better this time. Couple changes...

1. I downloaded the file from megashare
2. I copy and pasted the file command on his description
3. I loaded the ifile and changed the command to epc.tmobile.com on the line he says to change.

I also changed my top carrier settings back to epc.tmobile.com as they were before I did the MMS fix.

Works perfect for me!

I did it in XP too. For command prompt, click start----->run

then type CMD and it will bring up the command prompt.

Right click and paste the command exactly as he has it on his comments section on the right then continue on with his instructions in the video. Good luck!

OK GUYS AFTER LOOKING AND LOOKING AND LOOKING IVE FINALLY FOUND THE EASIEST WAY TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH RECIEVING BLURRY MMS PICTURES FOR TMOBILE US
THERE IS A VIDEO THAT IS OUT NOW BUT IT HAS TO DO WITH SSH AND COMMAND PROMT
THIS WAY THAT I WILL SHOW YOU IS DONE RIGHT FROM YOUR IPHONE AND IS 100% SURE TO WORK
IVE HAD A BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE VIDEO THATS UP SO I DECIDED TO POST THIS ONE

GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY "CLEAR" MMS PICTURES FOR EVERYONE NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!

IF you have Cydia do the following for 3g, 3gs

1. Click Manage
2. Click Sources
3. Click Edit
4. Click ADD
a. type in http://repo.*****************
5. After you have entered it, click on Sinful iPhone Repo (it will be the first thing under manage, sources)
6. Click on MMS & Tethering Settings, and install
7. From your iphones main screen click on settings
8. Click General
9. Click Network
10. Click Cellular Data Network
11. Go to the bottom and click reset settings
12. Now reboot your iphone
13. Once your phone is back up go through the same settings to get to your Cellular data network
14. Type in under Cellular Data APN: WAP.voicestream.com
15. Type in under MMS APN: wap.voicestream.com
16. Click the network button on the top left to go back.
Reboot the iPhone and once its back up....voila you will have clear picture MMS!

EVEN IF YOU USE INTERNET2.VOICESTREAM.COM
CHANGING IT TO WAP.VOICESTREAM.COM WILL STILL WORK AT THE SAME SPEED. CHANGING IT BACK TO INTERNET2. AFTER THIS PROSSES WILL DISABLE TETHERING.

I use epc.tmobile.com for my APN. Does it matter if I use wap.voicestream.com? Is it any slower than epc? Just wondering cuz my phone sometimes doesn't like to use other APN settings and won't give me data services if I use anything else, like internet2.

I would also like to know this...Have the G1 plan ($24.99) through tmo and want the best speed possible...

i just put 3.0 on my brothers iPhone so i had to set up everything on his iPhone. what i did to get clear pics was installed activateMMS and installed a carrier file from Cydia. everything was clear. only reason i did this was because the last 2 days sinfuliphone was down so i couldn't use their files which are the ones i use for my iPhone.
