headphones wont work after 3.0 upgrade/hack

I just jailbroke and unlocked a 3g iphone with 3.0 running. my problem is, my headphones won't work. I can hear people at the other end (when making calls) but they cannot hear me. I can hear music. anyone know what i can do to fix this? thanks

Are you talking about the included iPhone headphones? If so, check if your mic button works (play/pause/answer/end call button)... if it doesn't then that set is broken.

yes..its the headphone that came with it...i bough another pair, but they won't work either..so i'm guessing its my phone..

any suggestions?
