Text form T-mobile
I unlocked a iPhone 2g for a friend to give to his son. He is getting text messages from t-mobile saying something like "Apples fraud department has contacted them and told them that fraudulent software was on the phone and they would freeze the phone in 24 hours". I'm not sure exactly of how it was worded but that is the gist of it.
He went online and added the web2go plan a few days before he got the iphone, but there is no pirated software on the phone, just the basics, cydia, winterboard, ect.
Has anyone else seen this message, and what should i tell him to do?
Thanks

Nope, this is a new one to me too. Is someone hacking into your wifi and picking up your info? Sounds fishy to me.

Ive searched the web for the last hour trying to find info on this and cant find anything of the sort. I told him to remove the sim card and use his original t-mobile phone till i could figure something out. I dont have any way of getting a hold of him. He is going to call me in the next day or two and I will have him email a screen shot of the message so I cant post it.
False alarm, some one was spoof texting him.Last edited by ptpuffers; 07-19-2009 at 07:36 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
