Low wifi signal on iPhone ??

I have an unlocked iPhone 2G on 3.0 firmware using Tmobile.
My iPhone, iTouch and laptop are side by side.

iTouch picks up my network, laptop picks up my network but iPhone only one i care about picking up the network doesnt not pick it up.

I thought i had the 'grey wifi' but after visiting youtube and seeing that the grey wifi issue people can not even click open wifi I dont think thats me, I can click on wifi on the iPhone just doesnt show my networks. any suggestions.

its just that the iphone cant pick up wifi signals as well as a laptop, i have the same situation at my bf's house, in his room his laptop can connect to their wifi but my iphone cant.. sorry i cant offer any advice to fix this problem
