Laptop internet thru iPhone

I heard that there's a program that you can install on you laptop so you can use your iPhone to access internet. Anyone knows about this??? Thanx.

Yes, but you still have to install something else on your Laptop before you can hook up your iPhone to make your laptop work.

It worked but Tethering on my phone disappear in my network setting after I unplug the phone from my computer. I can't find tethering to enable it ??? Thanx.

This was my experience:

(I have a 16 GB 2G iphone on tmobile)

After much research, I downloaded PDAnet to my phone. Then all i had to do was (in MACOSX) go to "create new network" make one called iphone, connect to that network on my iphone, and that was it! PDAnet took care of everything else. It was really easy, props to those who make the program.

Of course I only have EDGE on my phone so the netword speeds were all that fast.

I am using tmobile Tzone for 5.99/month. Could I plug my iphone into my macbook air and use it as a modem and using my computer to work with internet to do work?
