no edge icon??? no internet service???

i have the $19.99 full internet plan and i've been using the APN settings: internet2.voicestream.com with no user name or password and that has been working fine for me but i just noticed today i don't have the E on my screen and i can't access the internet. anyone know why this could be? any trouble shooting i can do?

Have you checked to make sure your APN is still configured in the data settings?

If you have access to internet2 you should also have access to wap, I'd switch over to just to see if it works.

Sounds silly, but make sure you haven't somehow disabled edge.

Reboot, also sounds silly, but often helps.

Put your sim in a TMobile phone and see if it works or not.

yes i have checked and the my APN settings are correct.

what is the full APN for wap? i use to use the wap setting on my 2g but if i remember correctly it didn't work for my 3g.

i have boss prefs installed and i do have edge Enabled. is there any other menu or setting on the phone where edge can be enabled/disabled.

i have tried re-booting a few times and still no go

i will try to find someone with a phone where this would work. unfortunately i don't have a spare handy to test it.

i've read a few other threads and noticed this seems to be happening to a good amount of people; however, most of the people it is happening to are the ones that were using the $5.99 internet plan.

The "E" should be there no matter what plan you have and what APN settings you use. The only time I've seen the E disappear is when people have a 3G and use a TurboSIM.

you hit it on the head. i have a turbo sim. does this mean i'm screwed? is there anything i can do to fix it? has anyone came out with a program that can unlock my 3g without a turbo sim yet? i have 5.9 bootloader and i know when i tried to unlock it before i was unable to. has anything changed?

Restore to 3.0, jailbreak with redsn0w, download ultrasn0w from Cydia to unlock. No turbosim needed.
