T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundles: Bluetooth, Internet, MMS, & Tethering (2G/3G/3GS/4)
T-Mobile USA Carrier Bundles
This thread has become so large, that is scaring people way. As such, I have decided to write a very short and to the point article on my blog. Nevertheless, this thread will continue to be used for help and support.Last edited by SpookyET; 01-21-2012 at 03:35 PM.

I have only used a carrier bundle once last week when trying to get MMS working on my 2G. Updating with this bundle won't undo any settings that I have now right? I'm worried about loosing the ability to MMS and such. Also, will this bundle enable tethering for T-Mo on the 2G?

It will overwrite your settings. I am not familiar with the 2G. All I can guarantee is that it works on the iPhone OS 3.0 for iPhone 3G and 3GS.
I just tested it with custom logos. I am against them. It looks like crap when it's on black. Plus, I would like the iPhone to look as official as possible.
Official carrier logo.

Colour logo on black bar.

Monochrome logo on black bar.

Colour logo on white bar.

I tested it on T-Mobile prepaid and it worked. What's not working, sending or receiving?

I'm pretty sure you can remove the bundle by going to Settings - General - Profile
Not sure though where you will leave you though. I would think that with no profile present, an "unknow" profile would be used as default.
I was afraid of the same thing happening and didn't risk using this file.....

Well I forgot to reboot, I swear I have noob brain today, the MMS's seem to have sent out but my wife has not recived it yet, I just recived one from her. Still very low quality image but it came through.
....Ok sent another one to my wife and she got it pretty quick. So all seems to work fine. Just had to reboot after the update. Thanks!!!Last edited by ikmc915; 06-30-2009 at 12:51 PM.

Ditto for me when sending to my wife's phone. It takes longer for some reason for mine to send than hers. Sitting in the same room last night, I sent one and it took about 15 minutes for her to recieve. She sent one to me and it was there in under 2 minutes....... hokey a bit perhaps and the quality is difinately lacking but its incredible progress.
So did this bundle also enable tethering for you as well?
I can't help but smile when I think about everyone getting MMS working on their 2G's after Apple's official announcement that its hardware wouldn't support it. PFT!
Glad to hear that it was an easy reboot that got you up and running.

It's not a network profile. It cannot be removed from there.
I do not own a 2G, nor do I have a 2G. So, I cannot help. Tell me about the picture quality. What is the resolution of the image. You said it looks like crap.Last edited by SpookyET; 06-30-2009 at 01:07 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
