I can vouch for this. Had the red voicemail button on phone app, had to call it to remove it, but upon restarting the phone it always came back.
Heard about this like 6 months ago, and went ahead to the T Mobile Store and told them I was having signal problems, dropped calls, and I thought it was my SIM. They went ahead and got a new SIM for me and even transferred my contacts FREE OF CHARGE.
When I put in in my iPhone, what do you know, no more blank red icon upon restart.
