i have a iphone 3g on 2.2.1 planning to unlock to get better service but before i cancel at&t i wanna unlock mine and put a friends sim card in it....and see if i get better service...

so my question is if i unlock it will my at&t sim card still work along with the t-mobile?

also if i unlock it will apple be able to tell, or will a restore fix it so apple cant tell?

If you need to take the iPhone to Apple, you must restore it in iTunes first, otherwise it will void warranty. But it will not harm the iPhone at all, no worries
