Tmo Germany With U.S. Unlocked 3G?

I have an unlocked 3G phone that my brother would like me to give to him. He lives in Germany so he would be using Tmo over there, but the phone is from AT&T in the U.S.

How could this work? Will he have to change things like the Carrier files? Or could he just drop his sim in and have at it?

I have yellowsnow on the phone even though I have never used it on this 3G.(I am with AT&T)

I plan on switching over to my unlocked 16Gb 3G until either my upgrade becomes available or I wait long enough for next year's phone.

If you have YellowSn0w just drop his SIM in and use:
APN: internet.t-mobile
User Name: internet
Password: t-mobile

And he should be good to go

When he plugs it into iTunes over there will it have issues with my AT&T carrier settings? How does that work? Can he drop the Tmo bundle in there?

Settings->General->Network->Cellular Data Network

Shouldn't need to do anything with carrier settings, they come from the SIM normally.

Sounds great. It looks like he will be able to upgrade to 3.0 immediately as well seeing how the dev team is releasing Yellowsnow for it as well
