    Unhappy iPhone Malfunctioned!
I have a 2g 16gb iPhone that for some reason went crazy. It's unlocked and Jailbroken, but the Springboard doesn't load all of my app icons. If I have maybe 50 of them, it spreads all 50 out over 9 pages on the springboard but out off the 50, only 30 or so may actually show. The rest of the spots are filled in with blank icons. On top of all that, the phone dialer doesn't work now and just goes back to the springboard after 5 seconds or so. I have to go into my contacts to make calls. If the number is not in my contacts, I can't call it.Does anyone know of a way to fix this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you can bare it for a couple more days 3.0 will be out soon so then just do your little restore/update and all should be fixed(=
if you cant wait a couple days; then just restore now.

I now have a second problem. I run two hard drives on my pc. iTunes is on my D drive which at the moment needs a new PCB board. If I go ahead and try to install a new copy of iTunes on my c drive, would it install? I have tried to install various other versions
    7.7.1
    8.0
    8.0.1
    8.0.2
    8.1.0
    8.1.1

None of them would install for various reasons
(The folder Path 'Program Files' contains an invalid character.
    WTF???

Soon as I can find a replacement PCB board or someone to fix it, I'd restore in a heartbeat.

Is your "Program Files" directory on your D Drive?

If it is, I'd change inside the registry to reflect C Drive

So far, I have loaded itunes 7.7 on my son's pc. I have restored the phone but it told me to use itunes 8.0
So, I'mma install 8.1 and then use quickpwn to jailbreak it and all should be good. Right now I'm on the emergency screen, but at least the dial pad works now! HAHAHA!

Seriously, thanks to all who replied! I appreciate the help.
