Sidekick plan stop working with iPhone?

I have the same problem also, my sidekick data plan stop working today. I only have email. I make everyting but nothing works. I reset network setting, restart the iphone, restore iphone and nothing work.

I have

APN: hiptop.t-mobile.com
User: dummy
Pass: dummy

I tried user and pass leaving in blank and guest but nothing works.


Im from PR and this setting was working good yesterday but today not. What happend somebody now?

we're thinking that either

1) tmobiles network is down for some reason
2) tmobile finally cracked down on all iphones

im thinking its the latter as im now getting the "not subscribed to cellular data" message



UPDATE : ok, after resetting again, im now getting "Could not activate cellular data network" or w/e.\

I honestly don't think its a data outage. It is too widespread.

Ruth S: Yes Jeff, at this time the network is "recognizing" an iPhone and the Sidekick data feature is not compatible with the iPhone. I truly am sorry.

ugh, im having the same exact problem
i have the prepaid sidekick plan on my jailbroken and unlocked iphone 3G 3.0 firmware
everything was working fine, until last night,
now only one app works which is im+lite,
safari says server stop responding, and cydia says unable to load timed out, i need HELP!!!!!!

Same here in Baltimore. Safari is down, and email only works with SSL off.

I'm not even showing that I'm connected to GPRS anymore. I'm considering downgrading to 2.2 so I can spoof my IMEI to one of a sidekick.

I'm getting the "Cannot Open Page" message saying "Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding." Man, this sucks.

Everyone should sent tweets to their twitter account (TMobile_USA), and maybe tip off your favorite tech blog (Gizmodo, Engadget, etc.). If we get this spread around, maybe they'll fix it.

I really havent looked into it too much, but I think it's possible with ziphone (I don't know if its supported on software 2.2, but its worth a shot... I think you need the 4.6Bootloader). You also have to find a Sidekick IMEI #, but that shouldn't be too hard to do on google (just hope they're not still using the phone). It doesn't work (For sure) on an iPhone 3G.
