    Try these things:

    1. a different USB port

    2. Unplug USB cable, reboot computer, open itunes, plug usb cable back in

Have you tried holding both buttons for about 30 secs, or put in DFU mode. iTunes should recognize it, then you can restore/re-jailbreak.

if it shows the usb and itunes logo you did not put it into dfu mode. That is the only way you can fix it. Go to youtube or something to figure out how to put it into dfu mode if you cant figure it out.

It cant be in dfu mode if you see the usb cable and iTunes logo. I do not believe that you can take it out of dfu mode one you have put it in dfu mode.

You must not be releasing the home button fast enough

Step 1. Connect iPhone to USB then listen to the sound when it connects and disconnects.

Step 2. Hold the home and power buttons until hear the disconnect sound then release power button.

Step 3. Wait until you hear another sound then release home button.

Last suggestion would be try using a different computer and see if that works. But, if you can't get in DFU, won't matter. Sorry
