Former G1 User & Internet Question

When i had a G1 i signed up for the internet package. I recently got rid of the G1 & got an iphone.

My iphone would only work under WIFI, then i changed the APN
settings to: wap.voicestream.com , and now my internet works anywhere.

Question is can i cancel my G1 internet package? Or is that the only way i can get internet anywhere besides WiFi?

That is the only way you can get internet without connecting to wifi, unless you get a different data plan.

You definetly need an internet package if you're not within wifi range. Either continue to pay for the g1 package or you can try getting tzones. It's way cheaper, you'll get the same speeds but it may take a little convincing since tzones is a granfathered plan. You can't simply go and add it online anymore.
