Cheapest way to get up and running on t-mobile
OK, I am currently not on a plan with T-mobile, and do not have a T-mobile sim card. All I am wanting is the smartphone web2go Plan($25/month unlimited), if I could not get T-zones ($5.99/month? I think, sounding unlikely).
So how would I go about this? could I just puy a pre-paid phone for $20, and use that sim card? Then go on the site, and add the feature I want? Anyone done this?
Running 2.2.1 on Iphone 2G, jail broken.

the world missed out on the cheapest way with tmobile.
web2go is confusing. some say it works, some say it doesn't. wouldn't hurt to try it tho. every data plan after that is pricy.1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd

Well here is a couple threads discussing that the smartphone web2go Plan is officially supported. But I had trouble trying to go instore and get the guy to just give me a sim card with that plan. Not sure if he knew how.

If you mention a friend using T-Zones and tell them you really think it's a sweet deal and switched to T-Mobile for it, they will be glad to hook you up.

I had my wife run up there and ask a few questions. They pretty much told her, they could do nothing for me, unless I added a voice plan (cheapest being 300minutes I think), and could not get a internet package by its self. Once I added a voiceplan, plus the internet, it was going to be over $70/month. Not what I wanted to hear.
Any other advice, on how I can get a internet plan only?

You could blow your eardrums out to qualify for the deaf data-only iPhone plan for AT&T =]

Don't you want minutes?

No. I could just use SMS, and my MagicJack account over voip($20, a year is hard to beat). But even then, I would not be using it much. Most of the time I would just stayed signed into a I.M service, and have it backgrounded.
I feel no need to spend money on minutes I would not use, 90% of the time. I enjoy the internet functionality more then anything. Looking up restaurants, getting directions, movie times, etc...
Edit: I might just get added to my wife's and mother in laws family plan. Add a line is $10, and then I think the Iphone 2G data plan is $20, so a total of $30. Someone correct me if I am wrong.Last edited by Takenover83; 05-13-2009 at 12:51 PM.

then just buy a prepaid phone and add sidekicks.
i dont use the phone for calling only for emergencies.
slap it into a unlocked iphone and i pay 1 dollar a day
for the data plan, 15 cents a minute for phone calls.
so literally i pay 30dollars a month.
red
no contract, no monthly bill with a bunch of
charges i dont understand. plain and simple.
just gave up 1 coffee a day at the cafeteria and
its paid for.. i love it
