Need help "How to upgrade a 1G runing on a 1.1.4 to a 2.0.2 Winpwn wont work.

I have been trying to use WINPWN to jailbrake and unlock my old Iphone but it doesnt work. It always stops when is building the new ipsw file (usually around 75%) Why? Can anybody help me. They phone still working but i would like to actually use all the other upgrades that have being out for a long time. I will appreciate the help. Thanks in advance.

Have your tried to restore to 2.2.1 and then do the jailbreak?

Nope. I havent done anything since i upgrade the firmware to the 1.1.4 and that was...when? 6-8 months ago?

I need to refresh in how to do everything again.

why not use 2.2.1... or even beta 5...

Thanks for the information and blkcadi your recomendation worked like a champ. Thanks, now i need to work in how to have the EDGE to work with my phone. I currently have the full blackberry plan and now what? I have tried the internet2.voicestream.com (didn't work) epc.tmobile.com (didn't work) internet3.voicestream.com (didn't work) wap.voicestream.com (didnt work either) What would be the fix?
