I have tried everything to get MMS working on my 3G and nothing has worked. I have changed the carrier list, have tried Spookyet's cydia packages, updated the ipcc on the phone and still nothing. All it does when I try to send MMS is act like its going to send and then boom... it stops at like 90%. HELP!! lol... Also I have 3.1 firmware

I have a 2G on 3.0 using Tmobile and the 24.99 internet plan.

Here is what I've been doing to get MMS to work without any success.

After upgrading and JB to 3.0

1. Started itunes, used shift+update and selected the Tmobile .ipcc

2. Rebooted and can only see:

Cellular Data
APN: wap.voicestream.com
username:
password:

Visual Voisemail
APN: wap.voicestream.com
username:
password:

It doesn't give me the option to edit the other features.

I can't find activateMMS2G on cydia either.

Does anyone know if this will work on a 2G running on OS 3.1? I had it on 3.0 and it worked fine but since upgrading, I seem to have lost my MMS.

I have updated the original post to reflect the current MMS enabling methods. Let me know if they work out for you.

I'm having the same issue. I can receive MMS fine. When I'm trying to send the progress bar stops at about 95% and freezes for a minute or two until the fail ! comes up by the image.

I'm on T-Mobile in the U.S without any data plan.

UPDATE:

Ok I figured out my issue. I had to clear the Cellular Data APN field but keep everything in the MMS section fields, restarted and I was able to send MMS.

I'm assuming if you not paying for a data connection make sure the Cellular Data fields are empty.

Recently bought an iPhone 2G yesterday and unlocked/jailbroke it on 3.0.1

When I open up Cydia and search for ActivateMMS2G it's no longer there. How would I activate mms then without the program?

Poor resolution is caused by using the wap.voicestream.com APN for MMS. Use the correct package for your plan, and you should be fine.
