Just spoke with tmobile level 2 support , She said this has been a nationwide problem which there system went down and this affected all iphoneand there is no fix in near future. She did say that in max msg six she did speak with people that put 24000000 and recycle phone and it worked , she also advised that to leave MMS UA prof URL blank as the apple address is for att not tmobile. She said there were other setting she would email me and i will post them once recieved.
Ok here ya go just got these , didnt try yet, hope this works

Soooo.....I can pinpoint the date that my problem started but I can not solve the porblem. I'm running 3.0 FW on a first gen iphone with the $9.99 tmobile data plan. Everything was working fine for about 3 months. I never changed any settings or added anything new or did anything at all to my phone and it randomly stopped working. On halloween night (10/31) I was able to send a friend a pic message with perfect resolution. The next day, Nov. 1, I was not able to send a friend a pic message. I didn't think anything of it and moved on. Next day I tried again and nothing, but what was weird is that I continued to receive pics on a regular basis. Finally, on Nov. 6 or 7 (can't remember when exactly), I called tmobile about my problem. They said there was a national outage but that everything regarding text and picture messages should be up and running fine. She proceeded to investigate the problem and had me do some troubleshooting. She wasn't able to get it working so she offered a $5 credit that i readily accepted. She said she would send it to their experts and would try to resolve the issue. After speaking with her I checked every day to see if I was able to send any pics and no luck. I still continued to receive pics fine. I was hoping that the issue would work itself out but I have grown impatient. If there is anything that anyone could suggest it would be greatly appreciated! I got all the normal settings, internet2.voicestream.com and wap.voicestream.com for mms and like I said, I never changed anything and it just stopped sending. Please help!! And thanx in advance!!

3G on 3.0
I lost my MMS too. None of the above settings work. I did install the spookys carrier settings and it did fix the MMS, but it killed data. So I removed it and now data works, but still no MMS
Does anyone have a solid fix for this???

I'm a 2g owner with 3.0 fw and I wasn't able to get my picture messages to work cause I couldn't find activatemms2g. I searched for 2 hrs and still was not about to get activatemms2g onto my phone.
After looking around I came here and got my first real lead.
CHICOHONDA91 a member on this site mentioned sinfuliphone/repo/ and while adding the source into cydia, it said that I was unable to add it.
So I did some searching and found out that this is the correct site to add to the sources in cydia. http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com/
After adding it I went into the repo and low and behold it has what I've been looking for!! install "enable mms for 2g & 3.0"
After that restart and then enter the information for T-mobile:
-go to settings-> general-> cellular network and enter this data in:
Cellular Data
APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMS:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 307200 (you can leave this the way your phone has it)
MMS UA Prof URL: wap.sonyericsson.com/UAprof/W800iR101.xml
Then go to messaging and enable mms messaging if its not already on.
Reboot
At first it didn't send but then a friend said that she got it even though it said failed... then I just kept trying and it worked.
This is the simplest way to get mms on a 2g iphone on 3.0 thats been jailbroken with redsnow
Hope this helps someone!
cliffs:
-couldn't get mms to work w/o activatemms2g
-added http://www.sinfuliphonerepo.com/ to repo in cydia
-went into repo to install "enable mms for 2g & 3.0"
-enter this into Cellular Data:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
MMS:
APN: wap.voicestream.com
Username:
Password:
MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms
MMS Proxy: 216.155.165.050:8080
MMS Max Message Size: 307200 (you can leave this the way your phone has it)
MMS UA Prof URL: wap.sonyericsson.com/UAprof/W800iR101.xml
-ensure mms is on in messages
-reboot
-enjoy!!!!

Just wanted to post and thank for the LINK and info on getting MMS on my 2G on 3.1.2
But after the final reboot I did not resent ANY of my network settings and its working and TESTED 100% working with other iPhones. NOT yet tested with other non-iPhone holders.
Hope some of you will benefit from these settings, as I DID NOT have to do a thing after running “Enable MMS 2G & 3.1” from ( sinfuliphonerepo.com ) just reboot and all working GREAT! No need for reconfig any of the data or MMS settings
My iPhone
- 2G on 3.1.2 on T-Mobile
- Unlocked and upgraded from 2.2 using redsn0w
- iTunes update to 3.1.2 then blackra1n
Here are my settings as they appear on the phone NOW:

MMS

USER: ---- BLANK---
PASSWORD: ---- BLANK---

Hey Barry I'm running 2 iphones 3G 16gb we're having no problems at all with it. As far as the 3GS sorry can't be more helpful there but I don't do all that video stuff so it's not as relevant but my girlfriend is using the cycorder app and is happy with her little videos that she shoots with it.
Hope this is helpfulThanks to all of you @ Modmyi for all of the help you've provided
Take a second and hit The Thanks button if someone helps you

HELP! this didn't work!
I followed the links and I got all the way to installing the "enable mms for 2g & 3.0" and when it went to restart the phone, it got stuck. all it does now is show the apple icon for a while, then it shows the "thinking circle" and it goes on for a while and then it stops and blanks out and starts over again. I've tried turning the phone off and on and connecting it to my Mac and nothing! Please help me! What can I do now to undo what I installed or to get my phone working again?

I did all the the above mentioned, rebooted and it runs fine but since I don't have service in my lab I haven't tested it yet. Will test in like 10 minutes but I used the sinfuliphone enabler for 3.1.2 fw. Typed everything as mentioned and rebooted, took a bit but it eventually started up fine. Gonna go test during my lunch break.
Thanks a ton!
EDIT: Worked to send, waiting for someone to text me a message to test receiving. It took a while to send but it worked.
Doubt EDIT: Worked on recieving, no blurry photos either.. sent from a friend on t-mobile.Last edited by bruce988jl; 12-09-2009 at 01:54 PM.
