Help unlock, I need T Mobile

I have been lucky enough to get the T Zones Unlimited 5.99, but now I can't get PwnageTool2.2.5 to unlock my phone. I have 10.5.6 on my MacBook. There is some message that says can't enter DFU or something, amongst (2001) and (21) errors and iPod detected but unrecognized issues with iTunes.

Additionally, the guides I've spent over 6 hours trying to follow and reading links here have given me the run around. Even the guide has old PwnageTool software, that you have to somehow figure out that you need to get from the downloads section, and there are several screen shots that are confusing. Do I leave iTunes open when it pops open when I start PwnageTool? There isn't much help for retarded idiots like me. I had no idea how to take sim out, whether to put the T Mobile sim in during the start of the process, or use the AT&T sim card I have in. I didn't know how to put the iPhone in recovery mode, etc...

Any specialized help would be appreciated.
