I've read around that Youtube & the T-zones EDGE $5.99 hack Don't Work. When you use Wifi, the it works fine.

mine seems otbe working fine as well,although i dont think ive recieved my text saying my plan was changed to the 5.99 plan, its been 4 days now, says it takes 24 hours

Everything worked for me, including mail and youtube, the only thing is youtube is really designed to work over Wi-Fi. It is just way too slow over EDGE.

My EDGE speed result was 172.9 kbps, I followed the instructions and it worked perfectly. Also, another easy way to save the file as .pac and not as .pac.txt is to go to the the "save as type" box and select "All Files"

I have put 4 Iphones on the 5.99 T-Mobile plan and everything works safari,Youtube,maps...you name it...make sure to set edge to wap.voicestream.com with no username and password...
EDGE is in settings the general then network...


I saw earlier post saying wap.voicestrem.com which is wrong...

I have EDGE working in MExico with mi iPhone and Telcel carrier but I just cant receive calls while in edge surfing, for example watching youtube or surfing safari or donloading emails.

The iphone cannot take calls while using EDGE.

prepaid have internet , coz i have a Nokia and i can surf the web using T-mobile sim , the same sim im using for the iphone.

after I copied the files, iphone can't use wifi. It does not switch to wifi from Edge when I am using my home wifi network. Any solutions?

I added T-zone to my account. The CSR told me it requires 2 hrs for setting up T-zone. I will post the result later.

t-zone is working after an hr of calling 611.

The problem I have now is WIFI. There is no internet connection of WIFI after I applied the tzone file. Iphone can connect my wifi network but the phone just can't get the internet connect. Pls help

This method works. I changed my plan from blackberry $19.99 to
T-MobileWeb $5.99. I followed the directions and I did both my wife and my iphone. This saved me alot of money! I had to find a proxy.pac file first through google, then edited in textedit. Lastly I saved changes then went to
"get info" and under "name & extension" I added .pac to the name...making it "proxy.pac" I also used cyberduck to transfer these files.

I included the proxy.pac file I made...just unzip it. Good luck.
