Help? Getting EDGE back on my iPhone

I currently have a 2.2.1 iPhone 2G. Being the dumbass that I am, I called T-Mobile to help them get SwirlyMMS settings working on my iPhone as I couldn't get it before. I guess the rep saw that I had tzones on the line and said he did a network switch. Swirly began to work, but my browser didn't.

I then put my SIM in a Samsung Stripe and asked for t-zones to start working again, etc as I claimed it no longer worked on the Stripe. The settings were changed and now my iPhone internet works, but it's slow as hell. Also, I have to turn Data Roaming on for it to work.

I used to beat my friend's AT&T iPhone on 3G and now it takes over 15 seconds to load Google.


Does anyone know what I can do to go back to my old speeds? I do know someone who works for T-Mobile I just don't know what to tell him.
