2.2.1 signal strength TERRIBLE!!!

I'm using a 2G unlocked iphone on 2.2.1 and for the past month so my signal strength has been terrible...is anyone else having this issue

EXAMPLES: I can be in the same area with full bars and then they just drop or it goes into searching...


I am in the DALLAS, TX area

I would try restore then rejailbreak. Its highly likely that the problem does not lie in the firmware. I remember when I first got a 4gb iphone back in the day I encountered a similar problem full bars.. then all of a sudden no service, the phone would only have signal for a minute or two every time.

You said it goes from full bars to saying Searching...


Do you regain service after it searches? Or does it say 'No Service'?




Because theres a glitch that causes the phone to say No Service at times

it does both i will gain service somethimes and then sometimes no service after searching

Yeah, thats not T-Mobiles problem, thats a glitch with the iPhone.

Just have a spare phone on hand and when it happens, put the sim card in another phone, gain service, and be sure to log onto a web page so you will regain your Edge.
