10% off monthly for new (was all) customers. UPDATE no longer for existing customers?
NOTE: May be over now! BarcaMagic was told this was over as of January 19. However, myself and many others signed up in February. Maybe they were slow to get the memo to stop accepting it or something though. Please post if you try this and it works or doesn't.
Here is how to get 10% that ANYONE can qualify for. It is what I use.
Here are the instructions for existing customers. For new customers just tell them the same info when you sign up.
I saw some other posts that require you sign up for free trials of places to get discounts, but this one is free for a lifetime membership so there is no risk of your discount being canceled!
1. Register at Freelancers Union :: Platform for an Independent Workforce (free lifetime membership) so you will have a member number in case they verify it.
2. Call Tmobiles Migration Number (for setting up discounts for existing customers) at (877) 453-8824. I've heard some have had success applying this discount via the online chat support.
3. Ask to apply a corporate discount to your account.
4. When they ask for the node/organization tell them "Working Today, Inc." and you got this in your email. This is the freelancers.org official name. If you tell them freelancer's they will NOT find it. They didn't ask me for my member number but when you register there it will tell you. Also freelancers sends your number to you in the welcome email.
They tell you your billing date will be changed to the 6th and you'll be getting 10% off all recurring billing items.
I did this in February and it worked fine for me and so did a lot of other people I know...
Did you use the phone number in the post?
Maybe T-Mobile was slow to get the memo to the reps or something so we got lucky getting in late as an existing customer... =(
Anyways, thanks for your update Barca. If anyone else gives it a try please let us know.
Update: I just found a few people that were able to get it as recent as March 10th, 2009 so it might just be that some reps don't realize it's over for existing customers now.
