keep dropping signal

hey guys. here is the issue. I had my 8gb iphone for about 7 months, and i dropped it and it wouldnt charge, eventually died and now sits on my desk collecting dust. my girl bought me a new one but its a 4gb( no biggy) I unlock it to 2.2.1, and it keeps dropping signal, not for a min or 2 but for 5 6 even 10 min. and where it is dropping service, I had service before with my old iphone. I have quikpwned it 2 times since yesterday(when i got it) and it is still dropping signal..

Any one have any ideas

mine does that.
seems the new firmware has lowered signal strength drastically to help decrease power loss.
place where i had 2-3 bar i now get 1 or no service.

i downgraded to 2.1 and i'm still having the same issue. could really use some help here guys

true, mine just started happening i dont get tmobile in my house but i get att? this sucks.
