iPhone 2G on 2.2 - Should I uptate to 2.2.1? / How to do it?
My iPhone is on FW 2.2 with T-MOBILE as my carrier.
Should I update it to the latest FirmWare 2.2.1 with no problems?
(Pros / Cons)
If so:
How do I do it without the risk of losing my DATA? (Apps, Music, Contacts, Pictures, etc)
(This would be my first time updating a firmware and I don't wanna do it if I don't know exactly what I am doing)

If you have first gen iphone you should:
Sync and back up your iphone in itunes
Upgrade in itunes to 2.2.1
Download latest quickpwn(windows ) or pwnage ( mac )
Run quickpwn or pwnage , unlock and jailbreak and back up from last sync
If you sync and backup you wont lose music , pictures, apps and contacts

u will lose anything ssh'd to the phone, all apps from cydia, and themes n what not. certain things do not get backed up by itunes. it doesn't take to long to get it all setup again tho, but from what i can see 2.2.1 is nothing new for us 2g owners. few fixes n maybe a 3g unlock stopper, but nothing i see necessary to upgrade for
1.1.1>1.1.2>1.1.4>2.0>2.1>2.2>3.1>3.1.2 blackra1n'd
waitin on my white iphone 4
