tzones hack/edge missing

Ok so i get the TZUNL599 plan and my edge is working without having to add anything in apn... in order for edge to work i need data roaming turned ON, is that normal or will i get huge phone bill? Also I have no idea how to get edge settings to appear again under network and i read the guides to text edit it. Do i need data roaming on in order for edge to work?

There is app in cydia to enable the APN settings , search for it.I keep my data roaming off.Tzones is unlimited so you shouldn't get no extra charges.

for some reason my data roaming has to be on in order to get edge, and i live in chicago. Plus i dont have add anything in apn...
